how does growthbook compute over different datasources?
f
Hi - we support multiple data sources, but currently if you want to run an experiment, it is tied to one data source and the metrics defined against it. We do not currently support the ability to join across multiple data sources for a single experiment.

I think this is my (small) issue @fresh-football-47124 - I have two analytics datasource (one for our development environments, one for our production environments) so albeit I can make a single flag available across “development” & “production” using the in-built functionality, I can’t switch data source for the generated experiment.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you need to test the data/metric side for development? Mostly we see people not bothering to track in dev.

We literally just came to the same conclusion. I think the reason we wanted to do that was because we were evaluating. I think after we verify our installation (just started running our first a A/A) we will set-up a test in dev and then enable in prod + switch our experiment to use the production data source.
