Hi Growthbook team, Have a quick question - Is there a way to NOT limit growthbook to look at utmost 365 days and instead let us scan beyond? I realized this restriction exists when I saw 0 data for any date ranges beyond 365 days. Unless am missing something too obvious, is there a way to not have this restriction?
f
how long do you need?
f
Am using BigQuery as the datasource to fire the queries. It will be great if its unbound. But at this point even having it for 3 years will be helpful.
f
are you using the cloud?
or self-hosting?
f
Using cloud for now, but will likely self-host
h
Yeah we eventually want to just add a date filter to the metric analysis page itself so you can select it there, and let you choose a larger date if desired.
f
That will be a great feature to have, Luke! In the interim would you recommend any other approaches to let me expand the date range further?
h
Yeah on cloud I'm not sure if there's a way. Let's see if Graham comes back with a suggestion.
f
thank you. In a self-hosted verison, will I be able to expand beyond 365 days with the yml file?
h
Yeah I think you could override the settings that way. However, I just created a PR to let you set any number in that settings field. If you can just wait for us to review and land it, I think we can probably just make it possible via the UI.
There's no strong reason for the options, it might just help some users pick a reasonable value.

Awesome, thank you @helpful-application-7107! Apologies - missed this update earlier. Will wait for this PR to be merged. Will look up the PR and add myself as a watcher.
h
Hey it should be merged now! If you're on cloud please check your settings.
f
yuhoo, that is incredible! I see it now, this made my day. Thank you Luke!
