Thanks for the feedback. We've considered this (Discord) and/or Discourse, but the concern is that we'd lose a lot of users in the transition. I've also found discussions in Discord to be a little bit of a mess. Is there a software Discord that you particularly like?

Yeah, I agree that the Discord search feature is not the best, but at least if you fight a little bit you can find it, on this Slack after 90 days everything is lost. Discourse is a great alternative for a reasonable price. I really like how it works on https://community.home-assistant.io/

yes I am!, I set up my entire home automation on Home Assistant, I highly recommend it if someone is starting with automation (and run everything locally -zigbee/thread or z-wave-, to avoid the laggy cloud)
