Correct once an experiment is running you can't change the split. As the split id is what is used for the hash, changing it will cause re-bucketing. Starting a new experiment is the only way forward but it will also mean different buckets for your users. So many of your users will see different things from what they did before, which might confuse them and possibly bias your results..
