Good morning guys. All is well? I am responsible for implementing GB in my company, but we work with SEO. And today the question arose: do A/B tests in GB negatively influence SEO? Would anyone know this information?

A/B tests in general (not just in GB) can negatively influence SEO if done incorrectly, like only show robots one version of a test - which might be considered cloaking. Or redirect tests that slow pages down, and could hence be penalized. But if done right it shouldn't matter SEO wise and will give an overall bump on the metrics that matter.

My company generates income through SEO (keywords) and this question arose today, whether it will affect our revenue from testing.

What is it that you want to test?

The company asked me to do a small test to see how the tool works, so to start, we will make a small change to an item that users often confuse with a button. We changed the layout of just this item and want to see if there will be fewer dead clicks in the region

That like a good test and seems rather innocuous. It shouldn't have any impact on SEO.
