If the experiment is in draft mode, its the ‘creation date’. Otherwise it uses the earliest date started from any of the experiment phases.

Hmm our oldest running experiment is not in draft mode and the earliest date in the experiment phases is september 20th. our experiments by month show no running experiments in september but 1 in august

if an experiment is running for more than a month, it will only show up once, on the month it was started

we also have a test that has an earliest date in the experiment phases of july 19th but the experiments by month shows 0 experiments for july

I know we did some work on that code in the 2.5 release

yeah i’m pretty sure we’re on 2.5. I can open a ticket to explain what I’m seeing

you could also explain what you would like to see there

using the start date is fine i think, it just doesn’t seem to be what’s in our graph. we don’t have any running experiments that started in august

I wonder if its including a phase that’s deleted somehow

It’s possible. I’ll talk to the DS person that set up that test to see about deleted phases
