what is the cause of this error and how can we solve it ?

Hi Levan, good morning. This error occurs when the GrowthBook Proxy can't connect to your public API endpoint. This is essentially an initial handshake between the proxy and the GrowthBook app. It relies on both GROWTHBOOK_API_HOST and SECRET_API_KEY being set correctly
I will need to run a few debugging checks with you for insight into your configuration
r
Please can you confirm the following: 1. Are you cloud hosting or self hosting GrowthBook? 2. Please take a screenshot of your SDK Connections.
3. Confirm that the  “Proxy” toggle is enabled (SDK Configuration --> SDK Connections --> Select the one(s) in question --> Click the purple "Edit" button in the upper right corner --> Scroll to the bottom and enable the "Proxy" toggle)
4. Please can you also confirm the GROWTHBOOK_API_HOST value?

Hi Leven, I dont believe we need to check the SDK connection here since you mentioned that the connection sporadically works, so we can rule out a connection issue. Did you see if there were any error codes rendered?
f
Edit- we don't need to check the connection configuration* we know it's configured correctly as you mentioned it works 50-60% of the time

Hi Levan, how are you getting on with this?
