Hi, We have integrated GrowthBook with GA4 as a data source in our application. We have created some experiments, and now we need to get the results for these experiments. However, our data warehouse is in AWS Athena. I found the documentation for configuring data warehouse Athena as a data source for GrowthBook. By setting it up, can we generate results directly in GrowthBook? Alternatively, is there a way to extract user information for experiments? Could you please suggest an approach to extract data from GrowthBook and use it for reporting purposes? Thank you!

GrowthBook can pull data from pretty much anywhere... but if you're using Athena, you'll need a way to get the data into it. If you're using GA4, why not use BigQuery? There probably is a way to get data from GA4 to Athena (or use a different tracking tool, like Segment)

Hi Graham, Thanks for your reply. We configured the data source as GA4 in 2023, but we no longer see that option available. Has something changed recently?

thats an old GA universal analytics (UA) connection
since Google stopped supporting them, we also took them away
the GA4 connections are only supported through BigQuery
well - that's not true - we support anywhere your data ends up
for most GA4 users its easier to get it to BigQuery
you can make a new connection and connect it to Athena
you may have to write the SQL yourself

Hi Graham, Thanks for your reply. Is it possible to include BigQuery in an existing GA4 data source connection to generate results for existing experiments in Growth Book?
