Hello, we are currently running on version 3.3.0 and would like to upgrade to the newest 4.2.0, is there any issues with doing that or is there any special considerations we should be aware of?

No special considerations. You should be good to go!

No, we try to maintain backwards compatibility. There will be a heap of new features that were introduced in that time, which you can check on on the GitHub releases page. Specific bucketing logic will be handled by SDKs, which have a separate upgrade path. There, too, we're backward compatible.
