I set up a visual experiment yesterday, and still no data.. How long does it usually take before you start to see data in your experiments? Data source is GA4/BigQuery and is validated - metrics are tracking..

Have you exported streaming data to BigQuery? They would appear as _events__intraday_20230928 etc.._
If you have it then you can get your data sooner by modifying your assignment and metric queries to include them. We only recently maybe a week ago or so updated the default queries to include the intraday table. You would either need to create a new GA4/BQ datasource and associated metrics and use it or copy the queries over from the new one over to the old one.

@white-fireman-22476 thanks for the reply.. No we just have the standard GA€/BigQuery integration setup..

When did you set it up?

Some months ago..

When setting it up there should have been some check box to include streaming updates. I'm not sure if it defaults to on or off. But if you don't remember unclicking it then I guess the default is off.
Without streaming updates, then you would start seeing between one and two days after starting the experiment.
You can probably go back into the setup to include streaming updates if you like, and then make sure your queries are referencing the intraday tables and you would get results immediately after the experiment starts.

Thanks @white-fireman-22476 That makes sense.. I will see if I can enable the streaming updates, and if not I will just have to be patient 🙂
