We want to be able to update a forced value list’s conditions from our external api, but when attempting to use the api key instead of the jwt bearer, it errors with ‘jwt malformed’ (PUT https://expapi.OURDOMAIN.com/features/referrals/rule), and the api docs doesn’t mention anything about this capability

It sounds like your API code is completely separate from your website code, correct?
So you're wanting to use your GrowthBook API key within your API code, rather than within the website code?
I'm trying to better understand the setup.
