I just created a dimension but it is not available for me to select in in the experiment results. Do I need to add it to the experiment itself somehow? I could not find it a place there so I assumed that after I created I could just use it

no, you don't need to. Are you sure the experiment and the dimension are using the same data source? Do you have more than one?

All the same but since I just created I assume it does not have any data there yet so maybe this is why I can not pick it?

Okay, now I have them, it was the source. I was using the staging instead of production

Just to make sure I did it correctly for mixpanel, the event has a property called step so this is what I created

I think it works, I used it in one of our experiments. I wanted to try to have a dynamic one instead of one for each step

<@U01TCPDB58C> might have some thoughts - I have a feeling there might be a better way to achieve what I think you are getting at. This dimension is good if you wanted to look at all the users who entered step 1 of the funnel, but if you're trying to push more people through the funnel, a regular metric might be better

Actually I was testing dimensions but yes, this would work for us only as a metric. But create a metric for each of the steps seems inefficient and also not possible since we are limited to only 8

Yes, I think those would make more sense as metrics. How many steps do you have?

Will the limit be more then 8 in any time soon?

We will not use this metrics for now because it does not make much sense for us to track just part of it instead of all of it
